The planning Board and/or Town Council reserves the right to require additional information if needed to assure that the use in its proposed location will be harmonious with the area in which it is proposed to be located and in accordance with the Code of Ordinance of the Town of Lake Waccamaw. Applications must be reviewed by the Town Manager for completeness prior to acceptance. A fee in accordance with the Town's schedule of fees, payable to the Town of Lake Waccamaw, must accompany this petition.
Special Use Permit Fee: $350, plus an online processing fee of $5.
This petition will be scheduled for the next possible regular Planning Board meeting. The applicant or a representative should be present at the meeting to answer any questions the Board may have. Planning Board meetings are held on the (1st) Monday of each month, 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 205 Flemington Dr., Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450. Applicants will be informed of any changes in date, time, or location of meetings. Applications and supplementary time for processing and advertisement as required by the General Statues of North Carolina is mandatory. The Public Hearing will be advertised at least 2 times in a local newspaper at least 10 days prior to the Public Hearing. The Town will notify all adjacent property owners by first class mail of the Hearing.

If the Town Code provides that the approval authority for the type of land use approval or permit for which I am applying is a board, committee or administrative official other than the Town Council or Planning Board, I understand and agree that my application will be considered and acted on by the Town Council following notice and a public hearing.
