Emergency Preparedness
The Town of Lake Waccamaw has created an Emergency Response Plan. The plan includes standard operating procedures in the event of an emergency including but not limited to hurricanes, fires, floods, tornadoes, and terrorism among others. Be aware of our channels of communication and stay informed of vital information by subscribing to our public notification system. For more information contact our Emergency Services Departments.

The Town of Lake Waccamaw Public Notification System
In order to keep our citizens informed of public notifications, we are offering an automated calling system that will alert participants by phone, text or email. This system will be utilized for emergency alerts as well as events that may be of importance to all. By submitting the form below you will be placed on the call list immediately. We hope this will benefit the citizens and guest of Lake Waccamaw.

National Hurricane Preparedness
Be ready for hurricane season. Today you can determine your personal hurricane risk, find out if you live in a hurricane evacuation zone, and review/update insurance policies. You can also make a list of items to replenish hurricane emergency supplies and start thinking about how you will prepare your home for the coming hurricane season.
